Photo Contest to help commemorate Missouri Bicentennial in 2021

The State Historical Society of Missouri has been working on ways to commemorate our state's bicentennial in 2021.

Archive Genealogy Manager of the Livingston County Library, Kirsten Mouton, says one of the ways is to have counties submit different photos.

"One of the ways is for each county to have its members submit photos.  The photos have to be taken this year or last year, and they really want them to emphasize place."

Mouton adds that the deadline to submit photos is November 1st.

"They have to be submitted by November 1st.  Then a committee is going to look at them and it's going to pick 200 photographs to be finalists for some exhibits that they are going to do."
